Evie’s always thought of herself as a normal teenager, even though she works for the International Paranormal Containment Agency, her ex-boyfriend is a faerie, she’s falling for a shape-shifter, and she’s the only person who can see through paranormals’ glamours.
But Evie’s about to realize that she may very well be at the center of a dark faerie prophecy promising destruction to all paranormal creatures.
So much for normal.

I am so excited for this book. I have it ordered, and am waiting "patiently" to get it in the mail! :) The author is hilarious. Her blog is amazing!
I swore I'd never read any "paranormal" books ever again -- until I read the first few chapters of this book. I was immediately hooked, and could hardly put it down until I'd finished. One word? Delightful! I liked Evie, the way she could kick butt on the one hand (or taser it, as the case may be) and yet on the other hand have a secret longing to be "normal" and to fit in. I liked the entire set up of the Paranormal Containment Agency and its looser, freer counterpart under David's direction. Best of all, I liked the way that Evie found out who she was, what she could do, and how she did the right thing under immense pressure. *heaves a happy sigh of satisfaction at the ending*
This book gets a hearty recommendation from me. Everybody should read it!
I've just read on Kiersten White's blogspot that there will be two sequels to this book, and to that I can only say, "Hooray!" I'm looking forward to more Evie and Lend.
I bleepin' love, love, loved it! Finally a YA paranormal with just the right amount of romance (ie: kissing), great suspense, no swearing. I can recommend this to anyone!!!
Off the charts! What a fabulous book. Kiersten White is a literary goddess! Evie is the perfect heroine. She is funny, naive and just wants to have a normal life (read: lockers)and be loved. She has a serious job but doesn't take things too seriously. Great supporting characters and a story with just enough information to engage, not drown us. Lend was the perfect paranormal to even her out and open up her world. Reth was awesome...Just a totally enjoyable read without the usual angst. I am heading out to pick me up more pink for my wardrobe. I bleeping loved it!!
I loved this book! Bleepin' loved it. I was hooked from the beginning. The author does a good job making paranormal different in her book.
I have to add a hearty I agree to the previous reviews. Clean, fun, enough romance, but some reality in the relationships, and a great twist on the paranormal idea. What a great debut novel! I'm so excited to read more by this author!
