Mary's life has always been pretty normal--aside from the fact that her mom cycles through relationsips like she's changing channels on the TV. But when one more bad break-up forces them to start over in another new town, Mary realizes that maybe this place won't be like all the others. There's something different about one of her new classmates, and it's not just the fact that he's incredibly cute.
What Mary doesn't know is that her attraction to Kelson isn't exactly...natural. And when Kelson suddenly kidnaps Mary's mom and takes her to his home world, Mary will have to rescue her by relying on something she never knew existed--magic.

I thought this was a good fantasy book. The premise was interesting, though if you read the back cover it's a little too Twilightesq for me. I almost didn't read it because of the whole "eye" thing. I'm glad I did. It was fun, interesting, and made me wish there was more.
I really liked this book. The descriptions of the clothes and customs are exotic and I wish I could see them in real life.
Of course I love books with magic and when the hero uses it in new, unexpected ways it is even better.
The cover is wonderful.
Read this book!
Super darling fantasy/adventure/romance. Exciting characters in a new and fabulous world. I loved all of the relationships throughout and thought the colored flecks were fascinating. Cute romance and I am keeping my fingers crossed for a sequel!
