Sponsor The Contests

The LDS Fiction blog is targeted to readers. Blog readers are interested in finding new LDS titles that they can read and/or purchase. They rate the books and leave comments about books they've read. In its attempt to promote LDS fiction, the LDS Fiction blog conducts various contests to encourage readers to visit and interact with the information posted on the blog. Prizes for these contests are provided by LDS authors and publishers.


Books that can Sponsor:
Sponsoring books must be written by LDS authors. Titles can be published by LDS publishers, national publishers, or self-published, but they need to be actual paper books, not e-books. Books must also be in print and available for purchase somewhere online—from a bookstore, from your publisher, or through your personal website or blog.

A particular title—one book, not an author's group of works—is featured as sponsor of the blog.

The LDS Fiction blog only accepts fiction books for sponsorship. They can be new releases or older.

Your book can sponsor contests here and contests on the LDS Publisher site, but the same book cannot be on both blogs at the same time.



Sponsor Promo:
Sponsors of this blog will have their book cover image posted at the top of the sidebar here and on the LDS Fiction Review site, with a link to where blog readers can purchase the book. Four sponsors will be listed at a time. Although prizes are awarded on a weekly basis, your cover will display in the sidebar for a full four weeks.

Sponsors also get an individual info/bio post on the Contests site that features information about their book and about them as a writer, with links to online store and the author's website or personal blog. (example info/bio page) Your info post will go up the week that your book is the prize for the contest.


Sponsor Duties:
Send me an e-mail with the following information:

• state that you want to sponsor the LDS Fiction/Fiction Review sites (as opposed to the LDS Publisher site)

• the week you'd prefer to sponsor

• title of your book

• link to or include a short author bio

• link to your website or blog

• link to where the book can be purchased online

• link to or attached book cover image (300 px)

• link to or attached author photo (300 px)

When the contest is over, I will send you the winner's information and you ship a copy of the book to them (US only).


Does sponsoring a blog contest work?
Received this email not too long ago:

I just wanted to let you know that the sponsorship at LDS Fiction works.

I can't say I've sold any books because of it, though I really have no idea, but I can definitely say that because of sponsoring it this week, I've seen hits on my blog and website (which may mean some sales at some point, right?) that are a direct result.

I know it takes a ton of work to keep it up, but I wanted to thank you for doing it because it's definitely helping me get the word out and my book even popped back up on the DB list. It's a good thing and I appreciate you being willing to do it (and your helper, of course).
